PDF processing
The Split PDF tool processes PDF bytes inside your web browser. Dismerge PDF does not transmit the selected PDF, its filename, page text, page images, or exact page selection to a Dismerge PDF server. Generated files use temporary browser object URLs and remain available only in the current page until you reset, close, or reload it.
Technical limits and errors
File validation and processing occur on the device. Normalized analytics events, when enabled and permitted, can record a broad file-size bucket, page-count bucket, selected mode, duration bucket, output-count bucket, or error code. They do not include filenames, document contents, page text, or exact selected pages.
Advertising and consent
Dismerge PDF may use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners can process identifiers, cookies, device information, IP addresses, ad interactions, and browsing activity according to consent choices and applicable law. Google’s certified consent-management platform may present privacy choices in relevant regions.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to personalize ads where consent and applicable law permit. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors through YourAdChoices. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites.
Analytics
Optional Google Analytics is disabled unless a valid measurement ID is configured. The integration defaults advertising and analytics storage to denied until consent is updated. Aggregated event data helps identify completion rates, performance problems, and unsupported browser conditions.
Server logs
The hosting provider can create ordinary request logs containing information such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser user agent, and security events. These requests serve pages and assets; they do not contain the local PDF file.
Your choices
You can decline optional consent where offered, use browser controls to clear cookies, use content blockers subject to their own terms, and use the PDF tool without creating an account. Contact hello@dismergepdf.com with privacy questions.
