Is Dismerge PDF really free?

Yes. The split tool has no account requirement, watermark, or artificial daily task limit. Browser memory and the documented file limits still apply.

Does “online” mean my PDF is uploaded?

No. Online means the tool is available through this website. The PDF bytes are processed locally in your browser and are not sent to Dismerge PDF.

Will splitting lower the quality?

No recompression is intentionally applied. Pages are copied into new PDF files while retaining their dimensions and rotation.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Not in the first release. Unlock the document using a trusted local application before using the splitter.
