Terms of use · Updated August 7, 2026

Use the tool for documents you are allowed to handle.

These terms describe the basic rules and limitations for using Dismerge PDF.

Acceptable use

You may use Dismerge PDF only for lawful purposes and only with documents you own or are authorized to process. Do not use the service to infringe intellectual-property, privacy, contractual, or other rights, or to distribute unlawful or harmful material.

Your files and outputs

PDF processing occurs locally in the browser. You remain responsible for the source document, chosen pages, resulting files, backups, storage, and sharing. Verify every output before relying on it for legal, financial, academic, archival, or regulatory purposes.

Document changes

Splitting creates a new PDF. Document-level bookmarks, embedded files, portfolio structures, metadata, scripts, and other features can be omitted. Existing digital signatures will generally become invalid because the signed document has changed.

Availability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis without a guarantee of continuous operation, compatibility with every PDF, or preservation of every document feature. Browser memory, device resources, security policies, and third-party scripts can affect operation.

No professional advice

Dismerge PDF does not provide legal, financial, compliance, records-management, or information-security advice. Privacy-sensitive or regulated workflows should be reviewed by qualified professionals within your organization.

Changes and contact

Features and these terms may change over time. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the current terms. Questions can be sent to hello@dismergepdf.com. The site operator should obtain appropriate legal review before production launch.
